TO: <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />RE: <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br /> Building Official <br /> <br />1056 square foot house with carports <br /> <br /> March 30, 1978 <br /> <br />After careful consideration it is my opinion that a variance should <br />not be granted for the above referenced proposal. I feel this way <br />because of the following reasons: <br /> <br />1) The added cost for an additional 44 square feet of house is not <br />sufficient to justify this type of structure. I feel it would be <br />more appropriate to build the 1100 square feet and leave out the <br />carport. <br /> <br />2) The individuals that cannot afford the garage at this time will <br />not in my opinion, complete the carport as a garage. However, what <br />will happen is that they will be placing whatever may be cheap or <br />handy up for walls during the winter months. This would be a real <br />detriment to any neighborhood. <br /> <br />In view of this it would be my recommendation that this variance <br />request be denied. <br /> <br /> <br />
