On Page 8, Item g, "Wastes", City Engineer Raatikka recommended the second sentence be changed to read, "Ail liquid wastes containing any organic or toxic matter shall be disposed of as prescribed by the City Engineer." It was the consensus of the commission to make the above change. On Page 9, Ben Deemer recommended deleting the "Manufacturing" and "Warehousing and Wholesale" items. Building Official Berg said they listed industrial and business together in the "Off-Street Parking" section. It was the consensus of the commission to delete the above recommended items. On Page 9, City Engineer Raatikka recommended deleting "Industrial District" under the item "Offices". It was the consensus of the commission to make the above deletion. On Page 10, Item No. 2, "Design and Construction", Chairman Peterson recommended adding to the next to the last sentence to read, "Clear Aisle widths shall be at least twelve (12) feet for forty-five (45) degree parking, eighteen (18) feet long for head-in parking. It was the consensus of the commission to make the above addition. Ben Deemer noted that there was a fourth paragraph which had been deleted and he read the delete paragraph for commission information: "Commercial Areas - Outside parking of vehicles used by a business shall be limited to two (2) vehicles not more than 9,000 lbs. GVW or manufacturers GUVR whichever is greater. Ail other business vehicles will be stored inside a structure designed for this purpose." City Engineer Raatikka stated there was a further revised copy of the ordinance where business and industrial were combined because they were very much the same. On Page 15, Item j, "Loading", second paragraph, it was recommended adding to the sentence to read, "A loading facility shall include the dock for loading and unloading, the berth for the vehicle at the dock and maneuvering areas, exclusive of other parking areas~ It was the consensus of the commission to make the above addition. On Page 15, "Loading", third paragraph, Ben Deemer recommended deleting the sentence which reads, "Ail such space shall be in the rear of the principle structure and shall be used exclusively for the loading and unloading of merchandise." because some businesses are not allowed to have this in the rear. It was the consensus of the commission to delete the above sentence. Ail other action on this ordinance was tabled and the commission will review the revised copy at their next regular meeting.
