Same. <br /> <br />Motion by Kathy Schneider and seconded by Ron West to recommend to the City <br />Council to grant approval of a conditional use permit to Mr. & Mrs. Donald Volner, Jr. <br />for purposes of construction of a 12' x 20' greenhouse at 8121 - 154th Avenue N.W. <br />contingent on the parties agreeing on this documented agreement with the <br />changes so stated tonight, that the footage be changed from 624 sq. ft. to <br />240 sq. ft., everything after the word "hobby" be deleted from item #2, <br />everything after the word "business" be deleted from item ~3, the words <br />"nursery business" be changed to "greenhouse'" in item #5 and item #6 be <br />deleted completely. <br /> <br />Motion carried 6-0. <br /> <br />2. Meadowbrook Estates <br /> <br />Mr. Paul Johnson was present representing the applicants. Mr. Johnson <br />said he made the original proposal on this 2½ months ago, but since that time <br />they have been having problems seeking the financing they wanted because of <br />the economy situation, so they have reduced the proposed plat to six lots. <br />He said these are the same lots reviewed without objections by the commission <br />and they are still residential lots. He said that there is a roadway easement <br />just in case the property to the north is developed. He said they have <br />reviewed the changes with City Engineer Pete Raatikka and he has recommended <br />preliminary plat approval on the contingency that a variance be granted <br />from Article 170o038C 7 of the City Code for the excess length of the 172nd Ave. N.W. <br />temporary cul-de-sac, construction specifications be completed and the temporary <br />turnaround be enlarged prior to final plate approval and the developer pay <br />the park fee in lieu of park dedication. He said it was his understanding <br />2½ months ago that a public hearing would not be needed for this preliminary <br />plat and he said he was distraught that he was not notified of the need for <br />a public hearing. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle explained that the City Attorney thought a <br />public hearing would be needed, but Mr. Johnson did not contact the city <br />and let them know what he was going to do. <br /> <br />P & Z Regular Meeting Page 2 6/2/80 <br /> <br /> <br />
