P & Z Page 3 <br />41118o- <br /> <br />Mr. Berg mentioned that Mayor Gamec had suggested hiring two people since <br />Arlene Stafford is becoming more involved in the Police Dept. <br />Mayor Gamec had also been able to sit in on the meeting with the gentleman from <br />Duluth and briefly review his resume. Mayor Gamec had explained that the City <br />would not hire anyone w~th~dverts~ng and interviewing all applicants. <br />Both Gerry Zimmerman and Ben Deemer stated that they did not want to overload <br />present staff. <br /> <br />Motion by Kathy Schneider, seconded by Ben Deemer that in the event handling <br />of Arlene Peddycoarts past duties will create overload on present staff, the <br />Comm~ission recommendsthat the City Council hire an individual as a Planning <br />and Zoning Aide with job description similar to Arlene Peddycoarts. Motion <br />carried 5-0. <br /> <br />l~e Commission questioned Mr. Berg regarding several areas where dirt is being <br />re~ved from Ramsey and questioned whether our new mining ordinanCe will stop this. <br />Mr. Berg will check on this. <br /> <br />Motion by Ben Deemer, seconded by Harry Ellis to adjourn at 10:45 p.m. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />Kathleen Schneider <br /> <br /> <br />
