Councilmember adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved for its RESOLUTION 987- RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS (#87-23 - HUNTER'S HILL STREET IMPROVEMENTS) WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Ramsey City Council on June 23, 1987, City Engineer Mr. Peter R. Raatikka of Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. has prepared plans and speczfications for Improvement Project 4/87-23, Hunter's ttill street improvements, and has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for approval. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That such plans and speczfications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereo~, are hereby approved. 2) That the City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper (Anoka County Union) and the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for ten days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the City Administrator until 11:00 a.m. on October 6, 1987 at which time they will be publicly opened zn the Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal Center by the City Administrator and City Engineer, will then be tabulated and will be considered by the Ramsey City Council at 5:00 p.m. on October 6, 1987 in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned durzng consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibiity. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City of Ramsey for f~ve (5) percent of the amount of such bid. The ruction for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereot: and the following voted against the same: and the following were absent: and the following abstained: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 8th day of September, 1987.
