Counc i l~nemb e r adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved for its RESOLUTION ~87- WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Airport Zoning affecting property near the Gateway North Industrial Airport at its meeting of October 13, 1987; and WHEREAS, the density of development of properties in Safety Zone ~ is limited to lot sizes of no less than two and one-half acres; and WHEREAS, the majority of lots falling within Safety Zone B of Airport Zoning are approximately one acre in size; and WHEREAS, current land use of one acre lots is permitted (grandfathered); and WHEREAS, the City Council understands that current property owners may wish to resubdivide one acre lots into two one-half acre lots if or w~.en public utilities (sewer and water) are available; and WHEREAS, the cost of public utilities for a one acre lot are approximately two times the cost for a one-half acre lot; and WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the potential impact of Airport Safety Zoning on property owners who may wish to resubdivide their one acre parcel for sale as a means of financing the cost of public utilities. NOW 'THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) It is the policy of the City of Ramsey to pay 50% of the cost of sanitary sewer and water when such utilities are provided to properties in Safety Zone B of Airport Zoning provided that the property is eligible to be resubdivided under other land use regulations of the City of Ramsey. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Ccuncilmember and upon vote beimg taken thereon, the following voted in favor ~herecf: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resoluticn was declared duly passed and a~opted by the Ramsey City Council this the 27th day cf October, 1987.
