iii.

EXISTING PROG P3J~.S

The city of Ramsey, as a host community to a regional landfill,
is acutely aware of the need for landfill abatement programs.
The City established a Landfill Commission in 1987 which is
charged with a number of responsibilities including development
of the Community's Landfill Abatement Program. To date, the
Community's abatement programs have been largely conducted by
civic organizations including the Jaycees, Boy Scouts and Anoka
Senior High Band. Figure 1 illustrates the recycling
facilities available to Ramsey residents.

A. The
glass operation will utilize a 20 yard container with
separate compartments for green, brown and white glass.

The site is secured on landfill property and is open from
7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 8:00
a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturdays.

B.
