<br />Mr. Hartley explained Anoka County has established an Abatement Task
<br />Forc:e and t~ould like a r"epreser~tative from the City of Ramsey. This
<br />Task Force would submit information to the Metro Council. He
<br />suggested the Cc.~unc. il consider people who are actively involved in
<br />this topic.
<br />
<br />Councilman Sorteberg said he ~;ondered if Bruce Bacon ~ould be
<br />interested. Mr. Hartley pointed out that Plr. Bacon was on the
<br />L. andfill Comrnittee.
<br />
<br />Mr. Hartley said he plans to attend t. he first meetino c)f the Task
<br />Force to represent the City.
<br />
<br />Councilman Cox felt the remresentative should report back to the
<br />Council and ~-he_ Council should oive t~em some direction.

<br />Councilman Cox suggested Mr. Hartley be allowed to attend the first
<br />meeting and then report back before the Council decides who to
