Mr. Hartley stated that the Ramsey Lions Club is proposing to hold a Fall <br />Fest which involves moving their gambling operation from Jimmy B's to the <br />parking lot of Rum River Plaza; State law allows for the moving of an <br />operation once a year. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Cox to indicate no <br />objection to the proposal of the Ramsey Lions Club to move their gambling <br />operation from Jimmy B's to Rum River Plaza parking lot. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />bo Discussion regarding Rum River Bridge Crossing.- <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox stated that he, Mayor Reimann, County Commissioner Haas <br />and the County Engineer have discussed the possibility of using a portion <br />of Ramsey's tax increment revenue to be able to support the County in it's <br />1.5 million dollar effort for the approach to the Rum River Bridge; the 1.5 <br />million would be repaid and in the meantime the County would be able to <br />afford to bond for the balance of the construction consts. Councilmember <br />Cox stated that Mr. Hartley is reviewing Ramsey's tax increment statistics <br />and should have a report ready in one week. <br /> <br />Council directed that discussion of the Rum River Bridge Crossing be placed <br />on the September 22, 1987 Council agenda regardless if Mr. Hartley's <br />statistical review is ready or not. <br /> <br />Council directed that with or without the statistical report being <br />complete, discussion of the Rum River Bridge Crossing should be on the <br />September 22, 1987 City Council agenda for discussion. <br /> <br />Councilmember Sorteberg left Council chambers at this time. <br /> <br />ADJOURI~ENT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Pearson and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to <br />adjourn the special City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Cox, DeLuca and <br />Pearson. Voting No: None.
