-3- <br /> <br />O. "Wild Animal" means a mammal, large or poisonous reptile and bird <br />which, in their uncaptured wild state, have the physcial capacity to be danger- <br />ous to 'the safety and welfare of any person or property. Examples of such <br />wild animals are (but not limited to these examples) bears, lions, wolves, <br />coyotes, cougars, bison, tigers, panthers, monkeys, apes, large alligators <br />and crocodiles (greater than four feet in length), large snakes, (greater than <br />six feet), and poisonous snakes, excluding dogs, cats, other traditional house <br />pets and livestock. <br /> <br />Reducing such mammals, reptiles and birds to captivity, whether trained, <br />raised or bred in captivity or otherwise considered domesticated in any man- <br />ner, shall not remove such wild animals from these requirements and regula- <br />tions. <br /> <br />110.183 GENERAL REGULATIONS <br /> <br />Subdivision 1. Prohibition. No person shall keep a wild animal unless such <br />a use is specifically permitted by this ordinance and all regulations are com- <br />plied with. <br /> <br />Subdivision 2. Regulations. <br /> <br />A. Enclosures. <br /> <br />(1) A wild animal shall be confined, sheltered and led in a primary enclo- <br />sure contained entirely within a secondary enclosure. <br /> <br />(2) All such primary and secondary enclosures shall meet minimum re- <br />quirements of structural soundness and security as deemed satisfactory by <br />the City. All primary and secondary enclosures - <br /> <br />(a) shall be constructed of steel bar, link, wire or other suitable <br />material of sufficient strength to contain the proposed animal; <br /> <br />(b) shall be adequately braced and securely anchored at ground <br />level; <br /> <br />(c) shall be constructed such as to prevent a wild animal from digging <br />out from under the enclosure; <br /> <br />(d) shall be key or combination locked to prevent unauthorized en- <br />trance; <br /> <br />(e) shall be located so that all access to primary enclosures must <br />be from within the secondary enclosure; <br /> <br />(f) shall be adequately signed to notify the public of the presence <br /> <br /> <br />
