Commissioner Andrusko requested a friendly amendment, noting the characteristics of the lot in the area adjacent to the home was unique in that it would not allow for the construction of a garage. The Commission supported this friendly amendment. Commissioner Brauer added that if the variance were not approved, he believed the character of the neighborhood would be impacted because a number of large trees would have to be removed. Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Levine, Commissioners Brauer, Bauer, Andrusko, Nosan, and VanScoy. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Maul. Motion by Commissioner Bauer, seconded by Commissioner Brauer, to adopt Resolution 916- 06-106 granting a variance to the OHW setback, the front yard setback, and allowing a second driveway on the property located at 14301 Neon St NW, contingent upon the Applicant providing an updated survey confirming that the proposed location is outside the Shore Impact Zone as well as the assumed elevation differences noted in the case, subject to a survey being completed on the property and elevation for the garage being 1.8 feet. Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Levine, Commissioners Bauer, Brauer, Andrusko, Nosan, and VanScoy. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Maul. 6. COMMISSION/STAFF INPUT 6.01: Receive Staff Update Community Development Director Gladhill requested a member of the Planning Commission be appointed to the Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee. Commissioner Bauer volunteered to sit on this committee. The Staff Update was noted. 6.02: Zoning Bulletins Zoning Bulletins were noted. 7. ADJOURNMENT Motion by Commissioner Nosan, seconded by Commissioner Bauer, to adjourn the meeting. Motion Carried.
