CALL TO ORDER <br /> Acting Mayor LeTourneau called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:34 p.m. <br /> 2. TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> 2.01: Discuss Criminal Prosecution Services Contract <br /> City Administrator Ulrich provided background information explaining the difference in services <br /> provided by the City Attorney and the criminal prosecution services received by the City. He <br /> explained that the prosecutor works directly with the police department and has little interaction <br /> with the City Council. <br /> Police Chief Katers reviewed the staff report. <br /> City Administrator Ulrich stated that the prosecutor works directly with the officers and works <br /> with them when they do need to testify. He stated that the Council can provide policy direction <br /> on which cases to stand strong on and not plea bargain, if desired. <br /> Councilmember Kuzma stated that there were some items that were resolved and asked for <br /> details. <br /> City Council Work Session /July 26, 2016 <br /> Page 1 of 6 <br />
