Community Development Director Gladhill reported this would mean Mr. Buzik would need an <br /> additional 70 parking stalls, but was proposing to have an additional 170 parking stalls. <br /> Commissioner Brauer believed there was a conflict between the State and local parking <br /> requirements. <br /> Community Development Director Gladhill asked if the State required the parking stalls to be <br /> striped. <br /> Mr. Buzik reported this was not a State requirement. <br /> Community Development Director Gladhill stated the site may benefit by not striping the entire <br /> lot. <br /> Mr. Buzik explained he could stripe the guest parking and parking against the building. Then all <br /> other parking spaces could remain unstriped. <br /> The Commission supported this recommendation. <br /> Vice Chairperson Bauer noted the written comments received from Dave Dirkman for the record. <br /> Motion by Commissioner Maul, seconded by Commissioner Andrusko, to close the public <br /> hearing. <br /> Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Vice Chairperson Bauer, Commissioners Maul, Andrusko, Brauer, <br /> Nosan, and VanScoy. Voting No: None. Absent: Chairperson Levine. <br /> Vice Chairperson Bauer closed the public hearing closed at 8:48 p.m. <br /> Commission Business <br /> Motion by Commissioner Brauer, seconded by Commissioner Andrusko, to recommend that City <br /> Council adopt Resolution #16-04-069 approving the Findings of Fact, amending #12 requiring <br /> the applicant to stripe only the number of parking stalls required by City Code. <br /> Further discussion <br /> City Planner Anderson requested the drive aisle widths be addressed by the Commission for <br /> safety purposes. <br /> Commissioner Brauer believed the striping and drive aisle widths could be addressed by the <br /> applicant in accordance with City Code. He stated if for some reason another user were to take <br /> over the building, the parking lot would already be properly striped. <br /> Motion Carried.
