towards the development of all the other parks, plus almost the amount of their park dedication <br />towards thc two inner parks. <br /> <br />Cotmcihnember Elvig stated he agrees that this is a reasonable offer, however, he is not <br />comlbrtablc yet as to what they are seeing and is still looking for the tangibles. <br /> <br />Mr. Jacobsor~ explained the 4.2 million dollars has been adjusted due to direct comments. <br />$300,000 is being shifted fi*om the North Park to build two pavilions and push the amphitheater <br />along. They have built a good relationship with staff and are pushing through some design ideas. <br />They have received approval from Parks and Recreation. There are 150 details that make up this <br />park and they need time to develop the idea. They are not wasting their time getting this far to <br />say a certain amenity will not be included any longer, they will be developing all of those <br />colnponents. <br /> <br />Councilmcmber Kurak asked if all of the planning is included in the costs or if it is being given <br />to the City without receiving credit for it. <br /> <br />Mt'. Jacobsen replied they are not receiving credit for this planning. He stated they need to get <br />back with Rehbein with design development drawings so they can continue to cost them out. <br />Once they can start working in the dirt they will start to see this transform. <br /> <br />Councihnember Elvig commented he is shocked to hear how much planning this has gone <br />through. There looks to be ample dollars to do a lot of things. As an elected body they have to <br />be sure they are in a position to portray confidently that this is a good deal and people are getting <br />their money's worth. <br /> <br />Mt'. Jacobsen stated he is trying to find the right kind of images on his computer to portray the <br />plans. This is difficult to do as there are not examples out there to portray a lot of this. <br /> <br />Councilmember Pearson asked if the association will pay for the maintenance and upkeep of the <br />parks down the road. <br /> <br />Mr. Jacobsen replied the parks will be City owned and maintained. <br /> <br />Cotmci hnember Cook comlnented a company could be contracted to maintain the parks. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tern Zimmerman asked if the Pact School will have a playground. <br /> <br />Mt'. ,lacobson replied in their own property they have two contained play areas. Within South <br />Park there will be a general play area. <br /> <br />Assistant Public Works Director Olson indicated staff ~vill try to bring this agreement before the <br />Council on Tuesday, They are coming close to the 45 day extension. They have a good idea of <br />the plans, but would like it more clearly defined. There may be one more 30 day extension <br />needed, or if possible they could allow D.R.
