Join us tonight, Thursday, <br />Aug. 11, at 6:30 pm as Shane Martin takes the stage at The Draw Summer Event Series! The <br />Summer Event Series will run every Thursday evening through August. These events are FREE <br />to the public! Food and beverages will also be available for purchase before and during the event. <br />Don't forget to visit the Ramsey Farmers Market as well, now open at its new location on Center <br />St. across form the Ramsey City Hall. The Ramsey <br />EDA will host its annual Business Appreciation Golf Tournament on Tuesday, August 16 at The <br />Links at Northfork Golf Course. Tournament shotgun start at 11:00 am. Dinner, raffle prizes and <br />Business of the Year Award presentation to follow at 4:30 pm. Attached to the Weekly Update is <br />the Schedule of Events for the 2016 Ramsey EDA Business Appreciation Golf Tournament. <br />Park and Recreation Commission — 6:30 p.m. (CC — Please Note: this meeting was <br />rescheduled from August 11) <br />• Nominate Vice -Chair of the Park and Recreation Commission <br />• Recommend to City Council the Final Approval for 2016 Parks Capital Improvements <br />• Recommend to City Council the Acceptance of a Donation from Anoka Ramsey Athletic <br />Association (ARAA) for Improvements at Alpine Park <br />• Recommend to City Council the Advance Construction of a Proposed 2017 Capital <br />Improvement for Alpine Park <br />Council Update <br />Primary Election Update. The City of Ramsey is home to 14,796 registered voters; 737 of them <br />voted in the Primary Election on Tuesday, August 9. All eight polling locations were open from <br />7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. In-person absentee as well as absentee by mail began in June and continued <br />through August 8. A total of 74 persons voted some form of absentee. The numbers show about <br />a 5% turnout in Ramsey — the average for County -wide was about 8%. Staff is completing the <br />after election duties and will begin recruiting more judges as well as gear up for the absentee voting <br />for the General to begin in September. <br />
