Art In The Parkā€”An Apparent Success. As part of the City's Strategic Plan of exploring
residents' desire for increased recreational programming, (and following the success of `Learn to
Kayak'), staff has partnered with Rumriver Art Center to conduct four art classes for young people
at The Draw. The question of whether there is a need for more recreational offerings may be
answered. All of the 36 available seats for the four Thursday evening courses have been spoken
for. While submitting their requests, parents have offered the following: Rebecca, who wrote,
"Thank you for offering such great family events in our community!" Shannon, who commented,
"Thanks so much, love this idem" Pam, who added, "What an awesome event!!!" Staff
encourages community leaders to drop in on the art class to view creativity in -action any time after
the 5 O'clock start. (In the case of inclement weather, the classes will be held at Central Park's
Park Center Building.) To learn more about upcoming classes, visit
Nvt,vi .citvofi-amsev.comlartintlie ark.
