Voting No: None° PUBLIC ~EARING Mayor Reimann adjourned the regular meeting at 7:40 p.m. in order to conduct the following public hearing: Request by Waste Management of Minnesota, InCo to extend the term of a conditional use permit for mining. Mayor Reimann called the regular meeting back to order at 7:44 p.m. COUNCIL BUSINESS ~ase ~1: R~9~est By Waste Management of Minnesota. Inc. To Extend The Ter~ Of A Conditional Use Permit For Mining: Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to approve an extension of the term of the conditional use permit for grading and excavation issued to Waste Management of Minnesota, Inco dated November 26, 1985 to May 26, 1988. Motion carried. Voting Yes: ¥~yor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. Councilmember DeLuca noted that a few irregularities were raised with this case: ~R~MI applied for a conditional use permit on November 25, 1985; official approval was not received until March or April of 1986; two year permit term commenced from date of application. Councilmember DeLuca suggested that the city establish a policy indicating the commencement point of conditional use permit time periods will be the date the permit was issued. Mr. Eartley stated that he would draft a policy according to Councilmember DeLuca's suggestion for Council review and adoption. Case ~2: Reouest To Move In An Accessory Structure: ~ase of Mr. Leonard Simon: Mr. Simon was present and provided photos of the building he would like to move onto his property at 17349 St. Francis ~lvd. for use as an outbuilding/horse stable. Mr. Simon reviewed improvements he will be making to the buil6ing and where hi~ home i~ proposed to be located on the property. Mr. Simon ~tated that the building ha~ sentimental value, was condemned by the City of Blaine for development purposes and must be moved by November If.
