Nov. 24, 1987

City Council Meeting Minutes
November 24, 1~87
Attachment B

Mayor Gary Reimann
Councilmember A1 Sorteberg
Councilmember Steve DeLuca
Councilmember Arnie Cox
Councilmember A1 Pearson
City of Ramsey
15153 Nowthen Blvd.?NW
R~msey, Mn. 55303

Dear Mayor and Councilmembers:

There seems to be some misconception by Mayor Reimann as to
what price I said we would accept for the land the city
wants to acquire for the MSA road south of highway 10.
This occurred when the Elofsons, my wife and myself stopped
to see him to try and resolve this issue.

The purpose of this letter is to clarify' our position on
this. What I said was that we felt the market value of this
land wa-s worth the $1.15 per square footrthat the Elofsons
had a previous purchase agreement for. I also said I did not
think we should have to take less than this fair market value,
but ! never said we wouldn't be willinq to neqotiate with the

city on a different value that we could both acree on.

i hope this letter lays to res% once and for all the state-
ment he keeps making that I said we would not accept less
than fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) per acre. I apologize
if I did not make myself clear to him on this point. We have
always said that we would be willing to negotiate with the
city for a realistic price for this land, but they have never
done so.

Wins!ow Ho!a==.~

cc: City Adm'~
m.~_strator, David Hart!ey
City ~'~ _
~v~ornev, William Goodrich
City ~nc~neer, Peter Raatikka
