Site Imp_~ovements For River's Bend Plaza Improvement Project <br /> <br />City ]~gineer Raatikka stated that the bids have been received and the low <br />bidder, Dave Perk/ns Contracting, was 2.5% over ~gineering estimates. Tax <br />increment financing has been approved up to $173,000.00. It would be the <br />developer's option to pick up the excess ~osts o5 delete some of the tasks. <br /> <br />Motion by Co~cilmember Sorteberg and seconded b.y Co~ncilmember Cox to <br />adopt Resolution %87-62 acoepting bids for site xmprovements to River's <br /> <br />Bend Plaza and a~arding the contract to D~ve Perkins Contracting for such <br />improve~ents contingent upon developnent agreements being received between <br />the developer and appropriate escrows. (Please refer to resolution file <br />for Resolution %87-62). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilm~mbers Sorteberg, (Dx, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No.. None. <br /> <br />l~oadImDrovements For <br /> <br />Roanoke Street NW Improvement Project <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka stated that bids have been received for improvements to <br />Roanoke Street and the lower bidder was Ideal Paving at 13.4% below <br />engineering estimates. Mr. Raatikka stated that the Ideal's references are <br />not the best but there is not just cause to reject the bid. Mr. Raatikka <br />reco~men~ awarding the bid to Ideal Paving with the understanding that <br />they will be penalized for any delays in the project. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember COx and seconded by Councilmmber Pearson to adopt <br />Resolution %87-63 accepting bids for road improvements to Roanoke Street N~ <br />and awarding a contract to Ideal Paving for such improvements contingent <br />upon receiving State Aid approval on the plans and receiving escrow from <br />the developer for their share of the improvements. (Please refer to <br />resolution file for Resolution %87-63). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Council~mmbers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Street Improvements For 167th Avenue NW Improvement Project <br /> <br />Co~mcilm~mber Cox noted that there are 4 property ~ners to be assessed and <br />according to the City (1tarter, 3 property ~wners can stop the project. ~k~ <br />access to Now and Then Estates will be acquired depends on whether or not <br />this particular project is approved, which will not be known for about 90 <br />.days. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />adopt Resolution %87-64 receiving the feasibility report and calling for a <br />public hearing for Street Improvement Project %87-20 (167th Avenue l~; <br />between C.S.A.H.
