The Remsey Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a puhlic hearing on <br />Tuesday, March 3,1987 at the Pamsey Municipal Center, 15153 Na/chen Blvd. <br />N.W., l~msey, Minnesota regarding an amendment to the zoning map to rezone <br />property frcm R1-R Residential to R1-U Residential. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Ken Peterson, Ch~tman <br />Mr. ~ Sh~m~ay <br />Mr. Ben ~cmer <br />Mr. Gerald Zi~merman <br /> <br />Mr. Terry ~endriksen <br />Mr. Jim ~owell <br /> <br />OmmmmityDevelo~mm_nt Director AnneNorris <br /> <br />Chaiman Peterson called the public hearing to order at 8:04 p.m~ <br /> <br />Mr. Scha~Inburg, owner of the proper~ proposed for rezooing, was p~esent. <br /> <br />Chaiman Reterson stated that the purpose of the hearing is to consider <br />rezoning 13 acres located off of Sunfish Lake Drive N.W. from R-1R <br />Residential to R1-U Urban Residential. <br /> <br />Tom Kurak - 15001 Sunfish Imke Blvd. - Stated that this area will <br />ultimately be developed with sewer and water; it would be best to rezone <br />this area and develop it with one acre lots; if existing lot size remains <br />at 2-1/2 acres, people will be~e accustomed to the larger lot and oppose <br />subdivision in order to afford the utilities. <br /> <br />Mr. Schaumburg stated that he wants the property rezoned to what it was <br />in order that it can be develol:~d as intended. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Howell and seconded by Commissioner Hendriksen to <br />adjourn the public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, CommisSioners Deemer, <br />Sh~ay, Zimmerman, LaDue, Bendriksen and ~well.
