INFO~TION ITEMS <br /> <br />CASE ~8: <br /> <br />On July 23, Commissioners Kurak, Ippel and Community Development <br />Director Norris met with Metropolitan Council staff to discuss Kamsey's <br />population and employment statistics and projections and to request <br />that Metropolitan Council review these figures and revise them to be <br />more accurate. <br /> <br />The City Council will meet on August 11, 1987 to consider Mr. Carson's <br />concept for tax increment financing for additional residential <br />development, to consider Ms. Kris Fluegel's request for tax increment <br />financing and the Economic Development Commission's recommendation to <br />establish a development tax increment financing district in the <br />vicinity of Armstrong Blvd. and Hwy. #10 and to discuss a policy for <br />reviewing requests for City participation in projects using tax <br />increment financing. <br /> <br />3. On July 28, 1987 the City Council took the following action: <br /> <br />a) Denied a request by Mr. Robert Mashuga for a conditional use permit <br /> to keep a horse on a parcel of less than 3 acres. <br /> <br />b) <br /> <br />Tabled a request by Mr. Jim Franklin for a conditional use permit <br />to construct an advertising sign on Hwy. #10 until the Hwy. #10 <br />Corridor Study has been completed. <br /> <br />c) Denied a request by Ms. Mary Ellen Walsh for a conditional use <br /> permit to sell handcrafted items and collectibles from her home. <br /> <br /> <br />
