Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #16-08-144 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR CITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #16-95 ZEOLITE STREET STORM SEWER EXTENSION WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted July 26th, 2016, final plans and specifications were approved and advertisements for bids were authorized for said improvements; and WHEREAS, bids were received, opened, and tabulated on August 19th, 2016, and the following bids were found to comply with the advertisement for bids; and CONTRACTOR TOTAL BID Kuechle Underground Inc. $108,802.15 Dryden Excavating $109,185.10 Douglas-Kerr Underground $111,653.43 Penn Contracting, Inc. $119,550.50 Dave Perkins Contracting Inc. $121,962.00 Northdale Construction Company, Inc. $129,995.96 Engineer's Estimate $122,534.50 WHEREAS, the bid of Kuechle Underground Inc. of Kimball, Minnesota, in the amount of $108,802.15 for the total bid for construction of said improvements in accordance with the approved plans and specifications and advertisement for bids, is the lowest responsible bidder and their bid shall be and hereby is accepted. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY,ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with said bidder for the construction of said improvements for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey. 2) The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids at such time that a contract has been executed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained:
