ORDINANCE NO. 04- <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION OF AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A SALARY INCREASE <br /> FOR THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> <br />This ordin~ce amends Section 2.01.09 of the City Code entitled "Salar/es" by increasing <br />the salaries of the mayor and council members. <br /> <br />SECTION 1. AUTHORITY <br /> <br />This ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the Home Rule Charter <br />of the City of Ramsey, Section 2.7 and Minnesota Statutes 415.11. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. PURPOSE <br /> <br /> It is the purpose of this Ordinance to authorize a salary increase for the mayor and <br />city council members. The last such salary increase occurred in 1989. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. gAVlENDMENT <br /> <br /> Section 2.01.09 of the City Code is amended to provide as follows: <br /> <br />Subdivision 1. Mayor. The salary of the Mayor of the City of Ramsey shall <br />be $833 per month ($10,000 per year). <br /> <br /> Subd 2. City Council. The salary of each Council member of the City of <br />Ramsey shall be $500 per month ($6,000 per year). <br /> <br />SECTION 4.
