The applicant will not receive <br />clients at the property. <br /> <br />City Code stipulates that a home occupation permit will not be permitted if the density and lot <br />sizes in the surrounding neighborhood are determined to be incompatible with the proposed <br />business operation. The proposed business will be located on a large parcel, surrounded by other <br />large parcels. It is staffs opinion that the nature of proposed business operation and the size of <br />the subject property and surrounding properties make the operation compatible with the <br />surrounding residential neighborhood, thus meeting the intent of City Code. <br /> <br />The applicant is requesting permission to place a small business sign at the end of his driveway <br />on Nowthen Blvd. City Code does not permit such sig-ns in the residential district, except as part <br />of a Home Occupation Permit request. The applicant is requesting a 2' x 3' sign. The Planning <br />Commission and 'staff are supporting the request for the sign, given its small size.
