TH 47 provide occasions to Fd31neapolis and St. Paul as ~_11 as to the
interstate highways 1-694 and 1-35W.

~igur~ 9 ~ th~ ~ ~oad sy~-tsm.

TH X0 is the spir~ of the road system. It is a four-lane divided h/ghway
with two signalized intersections and four other secor~ intersections
with/n the study area. The signalized intersec~ are at CR 56 (Ramsey
Boulevard) and CR 57 (Sunfish Iake Boulevard). At the eastern b~~ of
the study area there is a stop controlled intersection with CR 83 (Ar~
Boulevard N.W. ). Other intersections with median bre2~ks are located on the
s~dth side of the road at Traprock Street N.W., Feldspar Street and Tungsten
Street N.W.

Two inte_~m.-tions without median breaks are located on the s~ath side of TH
10. Tb_e-~e are at Alpaca Street N.W. and Dolc~ite Street N.W.

There are five intermittent median brsa3m rmt associated with intmrsections
along the 2.65-mile s~retch of TH 10 within the study area.

In addition to the intar~ections and reed/an breaks, there are 53 private
access points en~o ~ trunk highway ~ang the 2.65-~ite length in the study
area. Given the speed and volu~e of traffic together with the regional
~nction of TH 10, these private access points and ~ncontrolled median
breaks consti~te a safety hazard.

The Bur!irgton No~he.-n P~oad track runs almost parallel to TH 10 just
nor~h of it. At CR 83, ~ track is jus~ over 70 feet fr~m the r~ad. At CR
56, it is just over 400 feet from the road and at CR 57, just over 500 fe~t.
There is a po'~ential for futu_~ problams in the limited storage space for
v~kicles between t. he railroad trac2~ and the ir~~ions with TH t0. Long
~/t ~_i~ and om~odity trains c~n block +_he road for up to f~.r minutes.

CR 83 (~trong Boulevar~ N.W. ) is at the eastern b~_~da_~y of ~e si~.
~' ~. ~s ~n ~ g3 ~ ~ 56 ~d ~ via ~id~i~ ~-~

CR 57 (Sunfish ~ake B~'~levaz~) is loca.'.ed at ~he eastern sida of tine s~-ady
area.
