PKOCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a special meeting on Monday, November 23, <br />1987 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 ~owthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Mayor Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br />Councilmember A1 Sorteberg <br />CoUucilmember Steve DeLuca <br /> <br />City Administrator David Hartley <br />Finance Officer Noel Graczyk <br /> <br />Councilmember Arnie Cox <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann called the special City Council meeting to order at 6:07 p.m. <br />and led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN_INPUT <br /> <br />~one. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />approve the agenda. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Votimg Yes: Mayor ~eimanu, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca and ~earson. Voting ~o: None. Absent: Councilmember Coz. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />~ Receipt Of Petition Re~uesti~ That Ordinance ~87-7 B~ <br /> Submit;ed To A Referendum Vote: <br /> <br />Mr. Martley stated that he received a petition on November 12, !987 from <br />circulators Barb Graen, Mary Jo Sentyrz, Lori Molitor, Cheryl Osrund and <br />Ramona O'Donnell requesting Ordinance ~87-7 establishing airport safety <br />zoning be submitted to a referendum vote. <br /> <br />Mr. Martley stated that the procedure is that upon receiving the petition <br />for a referendum, the city administrator has ten days to evaluate it and <br />report to council. Council declares the sufficiency or insufficiency of <br />the petitiom by resolution and the city administrator has 5 days to report <br />the. insufficiencies to the individuals circulating the~petition.
