Councilmember Cox urged that both the City Administrator and City Attorney <br />be involved in all segments of negotiations throughout the process and <br />Council concurred. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to <br />adopt "The Report On Comparable Worth In The City Of Ramsey". <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #I5: Reau~st For Particioation In Purchasin~ Playground Eoui~ment$ <br /> .Case Of Ramsey Elementary School: <br /> <br />The case was tabled. <br /> <br />C_~ geQuest..For Direction R~gardin6 Acquisitign Of Land/Easements <br /> For Multiple Purpose Recreational Trails: <br /> <br />Ms. Norris reported that the Park and Recreation Commission has been <br />reviewing it's Park and Open Space Comprehensive Plan and is requesting <br />Council direction regarding acquisition of land or easements along Trott <br />and Ford Brooks for future trail development. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox stated that the Commission should be looking at a plan <br />for trail development through that area, or the entire City, based on <br />elevations and bridged or by-passed areas. Councilmember Cox stated that <br />consideration should also be given to purchasing outlots in the Trott and <br />Ford Brooks area and establishing a format for a grid program for streets. <br />Councilmember Cox stated that in addition to acquiring those easements that <br />would be necessary and available for purchase, the entire corridor should <br />be at least established so developers can plan accordingly. <br /> <br />Case #17: Request For Additional Staffing For Park Maintenance: <br /> <br />This case was deleted from Council action, but left open for discussion, <br />during Approval of Agenda. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox suggested that maybe the City should advertise for bids <br />for park maintenance activities like striping soccer and football fields <br />and turning on lights in Central Park, etc. <br /> <br />Other options discussed were referring this matter to the Personnel <br />Committee or determine whether or not RYAA would be agreeable to taking on <br />these duties.
