The ~_mprov~nents Gould have some affect on groundwater levels;
most ponds are tied into 'the groundwater; varying the groundwater levels
could have an affect o~ the ponds.

Jane Terpstra - Inquired as to how many properties will directly benefit
fr~m the improvements.

Mr. ~artley- Replied that the impact of this project alone may not be
great as far as the nmnber of hcmes it will /mnediately benefit. T~e storm
drainage syst~ is to be accc~plished in a step progr~; the most important
step is to get an outlet to the Mississippi River; land for such an
improv~ent is available and in the interest of good planning and to avoid
added costs in the future, this is the phase being recommended for
construction as the first leg of the project. Eventually, this outlet
should affect all of the various properties.

Terry Hendriksen - 15631 Bamsey Blvd. - Stated that he is glad the City is
not delaying action on storm sewer improvements because of a substandard
snowfall and that the City is planning for future wet cycles. Inquired as
City Council Public Hearing/March 10, 1987

~3of6
