Highway %10 Corridor Study And Proposed Use Of 1987 CDBG <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that in the 1987 budget process, the Economic Develol~ent <br /> <br />Company and Commission requested funds for certain economic develot~ent <br />activities including a study of the llwy. #10 corridor. Consultants for <br />such a study were interviewed and the Hwy. 10 Study C~m~it~ is requesting <br />that the (1)uncil enter into a contract with Barton Aschman at a cost ~ot to <br />exceed $25,000 using CE~G funds. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilm~ber Pearson to adopt <br />Resolution %87-68 to enter into a contract with the firm of Barton-Aschman, <br />at a cost not to exceed $25,000, for the Hwy. %10 Corridor Study. (Please <br />refer to resolution file for Resolution ~87-68). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilms~bers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No.. None. <br /> <br />Motion by Com~cilm~ber Cox and seconded by Councilmsnber DeLuca to adopt <br />Resolution %87-69 authorizing the City of l~mmey to apply at Anoka County <br />for CE~G funds to be used for economic develo ..~ment activities. (Please <br />refer to resolution file for Resolution %87-69). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes.. Mayor Reimann, Counc~rs Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />l~view Of Gambling_ License Auolications:__ Case Of Anoka County <br /> Pheasants Forever And The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation-. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that the City has been notified that Anoka County <br />Pheasants Forever and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation have applied with the <br />State for gambling licenses for raffles, pinwheels, pull-tabs and tip <br />boards at J.R. 's and Superbowl. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmsmber Cox and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />waive the City's comment period related to the gambling license <br />applications of Anoka County Pheasants Forever and the Cystic Fibrosis <br />Foundation. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mr. Hartley noted that the licensing is a State and <br />not a city jurisdiction; city councils are offered the opportunity to <br />cam~ent on the application. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Counc~rs Sorteberg, Cox <br />and Pearson. Voting No: None.
