The l~y Plannin9 ar~ ~.ofut~g Commission conducted a public hearing on <br /> 3, <br />Tuesday, ~rc_ 1987 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 l~en Blvd. <br />N.W., l~y, K[nneso~a regarding an ~enc~t to the zonin9 mp to rezone <br />property from R1-R Residential to Ri-U Residential. <br /> <br />Members Present.. <br /> <br />Mr. Ken Peterson, Chairman <br /> <br />Mr. Ben ~-.mer <br />Mr. Gerald Zimmezman <br /> <br />Mr. Terry Hendri~ <br />Mr. Jim Bowell <br /> <br />Ccmmm%ity Develo~mmnt Director A~ne Norris <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson called the Imblic hearing to order at 8:04 p.~ <br /> <br />Mr. Schauuburg, cwner of the property proposed for rezoning, was present. <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson stated that the purpose of the hearing is to consider <br />rezoning 13 acres located off of Sunfish Lake Drive N.W. from R-1R <br />Besidential to R1-U Urban Residential. <br /> <br />Tom Kurak - 15001 Sunfish Lake Blvd. - Stated that this area will <br />ultimately be developed with sewer and water; it would be best to rezone <br />this area and develop it with c~e acre lots; if existing lot size remains <br />at 2-1/2 acres, people will become accustomed to the larger lot and oppose <br />subdivision in order to afford the utilities. <br /> <br />Mr. Schaumburg stated that he wants the property rezoned to what it was <br />in order that it can be developed as intended. <br /> <br />Motion by C(2muissioner Howell and seconded by Commissioner Hendriksen to <br />adjourn the public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, CommisSioners Deemer, <br />Shum~ay, Zinme~, LaDue, Bendriksen and Bowell.
