Comttment to Pro~ect <br /> <br />Attach a copy of the current annual budget of the applicant unit of government identifying the following criteria: <br /> <br />· Financial commitment to operations and maintenance of parks and recreation. <br />· Staff salaries for park and reoreation administrative or maintenance responsibilities. <br /> <br />Comprehensive Plan <br /> <br />Attach the appropriate pages from the comprehensive recreation plan of the applicant unit of government~ identifying <br />the proposed project. Maps and statements regarding the priority of this project are particulariy important. Also, <br />attach the appropriate pages that address the foIIowing issues: <br /> <br />· Methods of reducing conflicts between recreation and adjacent land uses. <br />· Dedication of land or dollars by developers for park and recreation purposes. <br />· The local unit of government's master park plan. <br />· Concern for acquisition and development of high quality sites. <br />· Intergovernmental cooperation efforts in the provision of recreation facilities. <br />· Public participation in the planning process. <br />· Concern for the needs of special populations (minority, low income, disabled). <br /> <br />Cooperation and Coordination <br /> <br />Applicants should include letters that address the following: <br /> <br />· Cooperation by prospective user groups in the planning and development of this project. <br />· Donations from civic groups, businesses, and/or individuals (state the specific smounts of the contributions). <br /> <br />Will the proposed park be open to the public free of charge or, if fees are charged, will the facilities be offered <br />free of charge to the economically disadvsntaged? Yes ~No <br /> <br />Acreage of Existinq Site <br /> <br />If the propsed project includes development of an existing park site or acquisition adjacent to an exlsting park, <br />please list the acreage of the existing park: ~acres. <br /> <br />Local Share <br /> <br />Indicate source and amount of local share.
