Chairman Lichter requested Anne Norris to find out how much it would cost to double the size of the warming house, and the cost of an ice rink and warming house at Central Park. CASE ¢5: Discussion regarding park improvements Merlind Otto presented cost estimates for park ~mprovements. Costs to not include shipping and installation. Counci! members indicated no preference and would leave the decission to the Lions Club. Claudia Dodge mention the Playground Committee at Ramsey Elementary School would be meeting with a representative of the Lions Club CASE '4: Discussion reKardin~, c,+- ~e plan for River's Bend Par}:. Merlind Otto presented the Park Plan for the River's Bend Park. Estimated cost of four tennis courts is $60,000 plus $10,000 for chain link fencing. Park Board members asked how Ramsey was rated in the application l'or LAV,rCON funds. Anne Norris indicated the rating was close, and they would have had more points if they had submitted letters of cornmltment from area clubs. More points vzould also have been awarded for a more comprehensive park, possibly using ball fields for hockey rinks. Norris indicated they can 8et matching, funds for River's Bend Park but not Central Park because of the location. Motion by Commissioner Johnson, seconded by Cornmisioner Lokker, to applv a$ain for a LAWCON grant Motion carried CASE ~5: Discussion re~ard;n~ Comprehensive Comprehensive Park and Open Space Plan. Place on next agenda with objectives for park plan. CASE %: Review of Meadowbrook Plat for park dedication requirementsl case of Mr. Gary Petrucci. Council members noted the northern portion of the property outlot Motion by Commissioner Looyen, seconded by Commissioner Johnson, to recommend that the City require fee to satisfy the City's Park Dedication requirements. Motion carried. PARK COMMISSION INPUT Claudia Dodge asked for a volunteer to serve on the Ramsey School Advisory Council. Bill Rustad volunteered to serve.
