COUNCIL NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #11: Request To Subdivide; Case Of Mr. John Rowe: <br /> <br />Mr. Rowe was present and requested Council's approval to subdivide <br />a 60 acre parcel of land into two parcels (refer to Attachment A <br />of these minutes for a legal description of the parcel). <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember <br />Reimann to approve Mr. John Rowe's request to subdivide a parcel <br />of land, as described in Attachment A of these minutes, contingent <br />upon Mr. Rowe providing the City with an easement for the <br />extension of 170th Lane NW for street and utility purposes. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Reimann, <br />Sorteberg, Schlueter and Van Wagner. VOting No: None, <br /> <br />Case #10: <br /> <br />Request For ConditiOnal Use Permit; Case Of Ramsey <br />Lions Club: <br /> <br />Mr. Bob Yentsch of the Ramsey Lions Club was present and stated <br />that the Sand Races scheduled for June of 1984 were rained out <br />and the Lions Club would like to now hold the sand races during <br />Ramsey's 10th Anniversary Celebration. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schlueter expressed concern that the sand races <br />might draw people away from the 10th Anniversary Celebration. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Ga~nec and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to <br />approve granting a temporary conditional use permit to the <br />Ramsey Lions Club, based on the provisions of their previous <br />application, to waive the $50 application fee, to waive the <br />requirement of another findings of fact preparation, to change <br />the beginning hour of beer sales on Saturday, August 25, 1984 <br />from 12:00 noon to 10:00 a.m. and that the Lions Club provide <br />dram shot insurance. <br /> <br />Motion carried, Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers <br />Reimann, Sorteberg and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. Abstain: <br />Councilmember Schlueter (Councilmember Schlueter stated that a <br />lot of time and effort has gone into the 10th Anniversary <br />Celebration and feels the sand races may conflict with the <br />celebration). <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Request For Temporary Conditional Use Permit For <br />Game Fair;~ Ease 'Of Mr~ 'Charles Delaney: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember <br />Sorteberg to adopt Findings of Fact regarding temporary <br />conditional use permit for Mr. Charles Delaney to hold Game <br />Fair 1984. (Please refer to findings of fact file for Findings <br />of Fact ). <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Reimann inquired that if local <br />organizations are in charge of parking facilities for the Game <br />Fair, will Mr. Delaney's insurance cover accidents and damage. <br /> <br />C/July 24, 1984 <br />Page 18 of 22 <br /> <br /> <br />
