TO: Ramsey Park and Recreation Commission

FROM: City Staff

RE: Park Commission Business

Enclosure (D2-a)

(~-b)

(D2-c)

Letter from MRPA regarding 1984 MRPA Awards

Memo from Chief Auspos regarding locking of gate at
Central Park

1985 Budget Proposals

CASE #1: THE MINNESOTA RECREATION AND PARK ASSOCIATION REQUEST FOR INPUT

IN THE 1984 MRPA AWARDS:

Enclosure (D2-a) contains a letter and form received from the
Minnesota Recreation and Park Association regarding the 1984
MRPA Awards. This is not mandatory for the Park Board to par-
ticipate in, however, if you would like I will help you as much
as I can.

CASE #2: COMMISSIONER JOHNSON REGARDING PLACEMENT OF TREES IN CENTRAL

PARK:

Commissioner Johnson will address this issue at the meeting.
CASE #3: RECOMMENDATION OF POLICY REGARDING LOCKING OF GATE INTO BALL

DIAMOND AREA IN CENTRAL PARK:

Enclosure (D2-b) contains a memo from Chief Auspos regarding the
locking of gate at Central Park. There should be a definite policy
established on whether to allow traffic to the ball diamond areas
or not. If the Park Board does feel there should be a policy, a
recommendation should be made to the City Council and one passed
in a resolution form.

CASE #4: DISCUSSION OF 1985 PROPOSED BUDGET FOR PARK BOARD:

Enclosure (D2-c) contains the 1985 proposed Budget amendments
from Street Superintendent Mevissen. This is for your infor-
mation and discussion at your meeting. You can recommend any
additions/changes you feel would be necessary for the 1985
Operational Budget for the Park Board.
