the minnesota <br />re rentian & park <br />association <br /> <br />August 6, 1984 <br /> <br />Dear MRPA Member: <br /> <br />The time has come again to nominate individuals for the 1984 Minnesota <br />Recreation and Park Association Awards. The importance of this process <br />cannot be over-emphasized. Many hours of volunteer service have been <br />contributed to MRPA over the years, and many professionals have helped <br />to advance the cause and mission of the recreation and parks profession <br />by their dedicated service. As a professional association, it is im- <br />portant to recognize the contributions of these individuals. <br /> <br />Those individuals must be brought to the attention of the Awards Com- <br />mittee by those of you who know first hand of the accomplishments and <br />service of those individuals. Your time and effort are extremely <br />important in this recognition process. <br /> <br />Enclosed are preliminary nomination forms for the 1984 MI{PA Awards. <br />Please note that at this time the Awards Committee is asking that only <br />the preliminary nomination form, with reasons for the nomination, be <br />submitted. However, each nominator should be prepared to submit detailed <br />information later. After an initial screening process by the Committee, <br />designed primarily to consolidate multiple nominations and eliminate <br />those who fail to meet the basic criteria, the more detailed submittal <br />will be requested. <br /> <br />Again, your input and participation in this process is vital;'..Please <br />consider taking the time to make your nomination.
