ANOKA ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE
2022 '~©F,;TH F ERR", $'TREE'T Ar-,,C',IKA Mi',,"-,,ES~,"T/-., 55303 PHC.,.%F t~'£ 42

I
I
I
i
I
I
I
i
I

.~;~,vor of
5810
~a:-~ey, ~; 55303

January 20, 1984

Attached is a resolution adopted by the Anoka Electric Cooperative Board
of Directors on January 19, 1984, requesting that various affected
governing bodies encourage the Minnesota DeparUnent of Transportation
consider building a bypass around Anoka and Champlin instead of
upgrading Ferry Street and the Ferry Street bridge to carry an
anticipated increase in traffic.

The reason that the Cooperative has an interest in this work is that our
headquarters building is located at the intersection of Ferry Street and
Main Street in Anoka, and the proposed improvements will include a
300-foot median that will (1) block access to our property by southbound
traffic, and (2) prohibit any exiting traffic fr~n turning southbound.
This will require extensive additional maneuvering by employees and
people coming to the office for electric service and to pay their
electric bills.

We will appreciate any support you might provide in this matter.

I
I
I

Yours very truly, / i../,/

.Joseph W.
