The Environmental Review Program rules at 6 MCAR 3.027 D. require that a press release containing notice of the E~W availability be provided to at least one newspaper of general circulation within the area and that copies of the EAW be distributed to all points on the EQB distribution list. We presume that these requirements have been met. Notice of the EAW availability will be published in the EQB Monitor on March 12, 1984. The 30-day comment period will begin on that day and will expire on April 11, 1984. If the decision on the need for an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) will be made by a body which meets periodically, your decision must be made at your first meeting at least 10 working days later, and no more than 30 calendar days later. Otherwise, your decision on the need for an EIS must be made within 15 working days of the end of the comment period (see 6 MCAR 3.028 B.1.). In accord with 6 MCAR 3.032, no final governmental decision to grant a permit or other approval required to commence the project shall be made until a negative declaration or EIS adequacy determination has been made.
