When )oi~t <br />purchased equipment is salvaged, traded or soldl the salvage value, trade-in value ~r <br />selling price will be credited to each governments! unit in the s&me percentage es that <br />governmental unit was assessed in the year of the original purchase of the item. <br /> <br />~ ~STA~ (IJkl~D ]tieD BUILDII~S! <br /> <br /> Each governmental unit will be solely responsible for acquiring necessary land and <br />for the original construction of all buildings necessary for the housing and/or storage <br />of fire department equipment. Land and fire department buildings in each governmental <br />unit will remain the property of the governmental unit. Subsequent remodeling and major <br />repairs will be the responsibility of the governmental unit and will be in addition to <br />the annual fire service assessment. It will be the responsibility of the board to <br />develop those guidelines and criteria as t.o what constitutes major repairs and <br />remodeling. <br /> <br /> Insurance for City owned buildings used by the Fire Department will be the <br />responsibility of the City owning the building and costs of said insurance will be paid <br />by the owning City. <br /> <br />AR?ICI~ VIII <br /> <br />USE OF <br /> <br /> The original inventory equipment owned by the City of Anoka and all equipment <br />jointly purchased from the Joint Fire Operating Fund shall be used within the Cities of <br />Anoka, Champlin and Ramsay and elsewhere as follows: <br /> <br /> a. In adjacent'areas where a fire may spread into the City of Anoka, the City <br />of Champlin or the City of Ramsay or to any of the fire department contract areas. <br />Orders for use of equipment for this purpose must come from the Chief of the Department <br />or the next senior officer available at the time the decision must be made. <br /> <br />b. The areas served by any'valid fire contract with another governmental unit. <br /> <br /> c. To assist neighboring fire departments as may be mutually agreed under a <br />reciprocal agreement with such firs'departments or a reciprocal agreement made with a <br />mutual aid association. <br /> <br /> d. To areas outside the Cities of Anoka, Champlin or Ramsey and the fire <br />department contract areas when, in the opinion of the Chief of the Deparment, or his <br />designated representative, such assistance is necessary for public safety or for <br />humanitarian reasons. Such assistance must be requested by the governmental body <br />affected or by the fire department or fire service of the affected governmental unit. <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br /> <br />
