N FIR~ ~ODE ~ach member city agrees to take actions necessary to establish a code of fire inspection regulations that vii1 be · uniform code between sll member cities to ·greement. ~R?I CLIt ~ FIRRFIGRTERS RELIEF AND FENSIOR FUFD Current members of the Anoka Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., and current members of the Anoka Volunteer Fire Department Relief Association, Inc., will become members of the Anoka-Champlin-Ramsey Fire Department and the Anoka-Champlin-Ramsey Fire Department Relief Association upon the effective date of this joint powers agreement. Firefighters joining the fire department after the effective date of this joint powers agreement, upon acceptance as permanent members of the Fire Department will, upon written application, also become members of the Fire Department Relief Association. Members joining the Fire Department Relief Association after the effective date of this joint powers agreement will receive the same pension and relief benefits as available to those individuals who were members of the Anoka Volunteer Fire Department Relief Association prior to the effective date of this joint powers agreement. Changes to relief and pension benefits after the effective date of this joint-powers agreement will apply equally to the original members and to the new members based upon length of service as defined in the Constitution and By-Laws of the Relief Association. As relief and pension benefits change, each member city agrees to guarantee the payment of pension benefits at the level established, providing that any benefit increases meet the requirement of "fully funded" as defined by appropriate Minnesota State Statues as substantiated by an actuarial survey performed by a professional accounting firm. IR?ICI~ II L/ABILITY - GOVERNMENTAL FUNCTIONS - PR~V'E CLAUSES In all of the joint agreements defined in this contract, the Cities of Anoka, Champlin and Ramsey shall be deemed to be exercising their governmental functions so that each shall not be liable to the other for any negligence of its officers, employees, firefighters or agents. Specifically, without limiting the effect of the.foregoing language in the preceding paragraph, either the City of Anoka, the City of Champlin or the City of Ramsey, their officers, employees and firefighters shall not be liable for any of the following acts or omissions: Failure to answer a fire call or failure to answer a fire call promptly. For any trespass or damage to persons or property whether necessary or unnecessary in connection with going to, returning from any fire call, or in serving at any fire pursuant to call.
