Chairman Ippel stated that he has talked to Commissioner Patz <br />on the subject of his absences and Commissioner Patz explained <br />that he has had an unusual amount of personal and business <br />obligations and that if the Commission desires, he will resign. <br />Chairman Ippel stated that Commissioner Patz also stated that <br />he would be ready to get into the stream of things beginning <br />in September. Chairman Ippel noted that Commissioner Patz' <br />information base has been a real asset to the Commission and <br />he did put forth a lot of effort on the Airport Open House. <br /> <br />Commissioner Donovan stated that serving on commission is purely <br />voluntary and personal and business matters do come up and <br />added that he would not like to see Commissioner Patz resign. <br /> <br />Commissioner Soderholm stated that Commissioner Patz has put <br />forth a good effort outside of the meetings and he would not <br />like to see Commissioner Patz resign. <br /> <br />! <br />! <br /> <br />Commissioner Siebert stated that Commissioner Patz' resignation <br />from the Commission'would be a great loss. <br /> <br />Chairman Ippel stated that the vacancy on the Commission created <br />by Commissioner Moen's resignation has been advertised for and <br />there has been one application, a Don Stauffer of 6741 157th <br />Lane, who is a private pilot. <br /> <br />Commissionem Sieber suggested that any applicants for the vacancy <br />should be invited to attend the next regular Airport Commission <br />meeting. Commissioner Sieber also stated that the Commission <br />cannot be accused of overloading the membership with pilots as <br />no non-pilot type persons apply for membership. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairman Ippel and seconded by Commissioner Siebert <br />that CitY. Staff request that all persons applying for membership <br />on the Airport Com~n~ission be invited to attend the Commission's <br />regular meeting in September, 1984. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Ippel, Commissioners Sieber, <br />Donovan, Siebert, Soderholm, ~reenberg and Morrow. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />KDJOURNI~NT <br /> <br />Motion by Con~_.issioner Sieber and seconded by Commissioner Donovan <br />to adjourn this special meeting of the Airport Commission. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Ippel, Commissioners Sieber, <br />Donovan, Siebert~ Soderholm, Greenberg and Morrow.
