I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />TO: Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />FROM: City Administrator <br />RE: Staff Report for January 1984 <br /> <br />1) Council and City Staff Workshop Meeting - I have requested a Council-Staff <br />workshop meeting date be set at the Council meeting which I think will be <br />quite valuable to us all. <br /> <br /> a) Staff will be preparing an agenda on the areas they want to discuss <br />at the meeting. <br /> <br /> b) Council should submit in writing things they want to discuss at this <br />meeting so that it can be included in the agenda. <br /> <br />2) Legislation - As you know, we are working with Representative Larsen <br />and Senator Dahl to see if we can get our level of State aid increased which <br />will mean getting a bill introduced that will only take care of Ramsey and <br />Andover. <br /> <br />3) Seminar regarding Economic Development and Local Government - This <br />was a very fine seminar. It covered a lot of areas in economic development. <br />I gave the Economic Development Commission at their January 18, 1984 <br />meeting a brief overview of the seminar. <br /> <br />4) Labor Negotiations with the Police Department - We are still in negotiations <br />on this issue. We will be meeting with the police and Council Personnel <br />Committee during the weeks of January Z3rd and January 30th. <br /> <br />LGS:pjc <br /> <br /> <br />
