I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />Mayor and Councilmembers <br /> <br />FROM: City Administrator <br /> <br />RE: Council Business <br /> <br />ENCL: (DZ-a) <br /> <br />(DZ-b) <br />(DZ-c) <br />(DZ-d) <br /> <br />(DZ-e) <br /> <br />Letter from Mr. and Mrs. Bob Johnson requesting that they be assessed a half <br />unit in the Rolling Green Addition <br />Information regarding Lots 13 and 14 of Bower's Mississippi Acres <br />Information regarding Mr. Donald Huff's request for metes and bounds subdivision <br />Proposed agreement for variance requests by Mr. Gerald Smothers for Minnesota <br />Sawdust and Shaving Company <br />Proposed resolutions ordering improvement and preparation of plans and report for <br />River's Bend <br /> <br />CASE il: ROBERT AND BONNIE JOHNSON TO DISCUSS PROPOSED ASSESSMENT ON <br /> <br />i <br />I <br />I <br />i <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />LOT Z, BLOCK 5, ROLLING GREEN ADDITION: <br /> <br />Enclosure (DZ-a) contains a request from the Johnson's that Lot Z, Block 3, Rolling <br />Green Addition be given only a half unit assessment for the street improvement <br />(bituminous surfacing) which abuts 165th Lane NW in Rolling Green Addition. <br /> <br />Their reasoning is that they will not be using this lot because their homestead is <br />located on the metes and bounds lot that is adjacent to Lot Z. Further, part of <br />their garage is located on Lot Z, but their driveway exits out onto County Road <br />#5. As is explained in their letter, it appears that they will never use Lot g for <br />an egress/ingress. <br /> <br />Council Action: First, we haven't assessed the cost for this project because it <br />has not been completed, however, this project will be done this year. <br /> <br />It is recommended that Council direct that a findings of fact be done on this case <br />as has been Council's policy in the past. The following proposed motion is hereby <br />submitted for your consideration: <br /> <br />Motion by and seconded by to direct City Staff to prepare <br />a findings of fact regarding the Robert and Bonnie Johnson request for a half <br />unit assessment on Lot Z, Block 3, Rolling Green Addition for the proposed <br />street assessment. Further, that the proposed findings be submitted to the <br />Council at their July 24, 1984 meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes <br /> <br />· Voting no <br /> <br /> <br />
