Voting yes <br /> <br />· Voting no <br /> <br />CASE ~9: ASSESSING: <br /> <br />I will go over this with Council at the meeting. <br /> <br />CASE ~10: CHARTER WORKSHOP: <br /> <br />The City Staff will go over the Charter with Councilmembers and Commission <br />Chairpersons. <br /> <br /> a) Council action required - There are certain things Council should act <br />on at this meeting: <br /> <br /> 1) Establishment of a City newsletter - In accordance with Section <br />1Z.1Z of the City Charter, the newsletter will be published at least six times <br />a year. It can be published more times if desired by Council. <br /> <br /> /~ Assign Precinct Laiason - It will be necessary to appoint <br />Coun~ilmembers to represent certain precincts on a rotating basis as required <br />by Section 3.02 of the City Charter. <br /> <br /> 3) Review of City Ordinance to assure compliance with Charter - The <br />City Attorney should be authorized to review the City Code with staff to insure <br />strict compliance of code with Charter. <br /> <br /> 4) Adoption of purchasing policy ordinance - We will need Council <br />approval on this to authorize the City Attorney to work with the City <br />Administrator in preparing a purchasing policy ordinance. <br /> <br /> b) Charter discussion - Staff will review the Charter in its entirety with <br />Councilmembers and Commission Chairpersons. <br /> <br />CASE 4~11: ENGAGING OF PROFESSIONALS TO REPRESENT CITY IN AREA OF NOISE <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />AND PROPERTY APPRAISAL IN REGARDS TO LANDFILL: <br /> <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission, at their regular meeting of July 3, 1984, <br />requested the City Council to provide them with professional assistance in <br />regards to the following: <br /> <br />a) Testing of noise created by landfill <br />b) Professional land appraisal <br /> <br />The Commission has requested that Council grant the approval of the above <br />to assist them in the findings of fact in regards to the request by Waste <br />Management of Minnesota for a conditional use permit to expand the landfill. <br /> <br />Council Action: Your action will be to approve/disapprove of the above request· <br /> <br /> <br />
