present time, however, there are no trails in Champlin~ In addition to a system of trails adjacent to county roads, the Hennepin County Park Reserve District has plans for providing a multiple use trail with a separate right- of-way between Coon Rapids Regional Park and Elm Creek Park Reserve. The park classification system shown in Table 4 was used in completing an inventory of the existing park facilities. The Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park has been included in the inventory even though it is not located within a CAR community. Due to the Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park's proximity to the CAR communities, it has been included in this inventory. Another feature which has been included in the inventory is existing public rights-of-way which dead end into the river. The information obtained from the Park and Open Space Inventory is summarized in Table 5. Table 5 lists the Public Agencies responsible for maintaining the park, the location of each park, the size, and the type of activities occurring at each of the parks.
