EXISTING AND PROPOSED REGIONAL PARKS I"~'1 <br />]N THE CRITICAL AREA <br /> <br />Most of Anoka and Champlin are fully developed along the Mississippi River <br /> <br />with little municipally owned land along the river. The publicly owned lands <br /> <br />along the river in Anoka include a boat landing at the mouth of the Rum River and~ <br /> <br />the sewage treatment plant. In Champlin, the publicly owned lands include parks <br /> <br />at the mouths of Elm Creek and Ox Bow Creek, the park in the Mississippi Shores <br /> <br />Subdivision and several rights-of-way which abut the river. In addition to <br /> <br />these facilities, the Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park located, in Brooklyn Park <br /> <br />and Coon Rapids, is presently being developed as a multi-purpose recreational <br /> <br />facility. <br /> <br /> <br />
