Enclosure {D3-h)contains a letter confirming the cost of the requested equipment. Council Action: Your action will be to approve/disapprove of said request. Please refer to resolution file for Resolution #84- . Motion carried. Voting yes . Voting no CASE ~9: MISCELLANEOUS (A. LETTER FROM DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE, STATE CASE {10: OF MINNESOTA; B. INDUSTRIAL REVENUE BONDS; C. STATE GRANTS): The following is hereby submitted on this case: a) Letter from Department of Revenue, State of Minnesota - Enclosure (D3-i) contains a letter from the Revenue Department stating the amount of dollars our State aid will be increased in 1984. Further, our revenue base will be increased which is extremely important to us in future funding. Council Action: No action is required, but it should be noted that Council has received a copy of the State's letter. b) Industrial revenue bonds - Enclosure (D3-j) contains a copy of a report we are submitting to the State of Minnesota. Further, it contains letters from Faegre and Benson regarding IRB's. Council Action: Your action is to just note that you have reviewed the report that we are submitting to the State of Minnesota. c) State grants - Enclosure (D3-k) contains a copy of the law that was passed during the 1984 Legislative Session which provides for six million dollars in grant funds. I will go over this with Council at the meeting. Council Action: Your action will be to note that you have reviewed this legislative action. COUNCIL PERSONNEL COMMrrrEE: The following is hereby submitted on this case: a) Authorization to utilize an outside plan check service - With an ever-changing code and a problem of granting variances, the Personnel Committee, at the request of the Building Official, has recommended the use of an outside plan check service on commercial and industrial buildings where the Building Official feels the use of such a service would be in the best interest of the City. The cost for said service would be funded by the plan check fee which is charged as a part of the building permit fee. Please refer to enclosure B-6 of this agenda for Council Personnel Committee meeting minutes dated May Z, 1984.
