I <br />I <br /> <br />Co~mcil Action: Your action will be as outlined in D-Z, case /~Z of Council <br />agenda dated April 14, 1984. <br /> <br />DRAINAGE PROBLEM IN FLINTWOOD HILLS FIRST ADDITION: <br /> <br />We are having water problems in the Flintwood Hills First Addition. The ground <br />water is so high that in certain areas it is causing the lower floors of some <br />homes to take on water. <br /> <br />I have requested the City Engineer to prepare a brief report on the situation. <br />Please refer to enclosure (DZ-d) for said report. <br /> <br />Council Action: Your action will be to approve/disapprove of the <br />recommendation submitted by the City Engineer. If Council disapproves of <br />the action, you should state reasons and give further direction. <br /> <br />CASE ~5: REQUEST FOR PRELIMINARY PLAT APPROVAL OF SORTEBERG'S THIRD <br /> <br />ADDITION; CASE OF MR. ALLEN SORTEBERG: <br /> <br />Mr. Sorteberg appeared before the Planning and Zoning Commission for a public <br />hearing on Sorteberg's Third Addition at their meeting of May l, 1984. The <br /> is in compliance with City Ordinances and the Comprehensive Plan and <br /> Planning and Zoning Commission did not recommend any changes to the <br />proposed plat. <br /> <br />The adjoining property owners were opposed to blacktopping at the time Mr. <br />Sorteberg platted the Second Addition. There was no input at the time of <br />the public hearing that indicated there was any change in attitudes towards <br />blacktopping. If you feel that blacktopping is not to be required, then your <br />action should include granting a variance to that section of the ordinance. <br /> <br />The following items are included as enclosure (DZ-e) for your consideration <br />in this matter: <br /> <br />a) Applicant's application <br />b) Public hearing notice <br />c) List of properties notified <br />d) Public hearing meeting minutes dated May 1, 1984 <br />e) Planning and Zoning Commission meeting minutes dated May 1, 1984 <br />f) City Engineer's report <br /> <br />Copies of the proposed plat will be available at the meeting for your review. <br /> <br />Council Action: Your action will be to approve/disapprove the preliminary <br />and final plats of Sorteberg's Third Addition. The following proposed motions <br />are hereby submitted for your consideration: <br />Motion by !.7, ~J~J' ~ and seconded by to approve/disapprove <br />of the plat of Sorteberg's Third Addition and to grant a variance to the <br /> ordinance requirement of blacktopping the street. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
