I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />i <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The City of Ramsey published notices in the <br />Anoka County Union, provided a statement of nondiscrimination to <br />the local radio station (KANO radio) and placed a notice on the <br />government access channel on cable television during 1984 in an <br />attempt to notify all persons. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT .RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) The City of Ramsey does not discriminate against <br />handicapped individuals in offering City services and/or <br />programs. <br /> <br /> 2) No structural or nonstructural changes are needed to <br />protect handicapped persons from discrimination. <br /> <br /> 3) The City staff will provide notice to the public <br />about handicapped discrimination in relation to City programs and <br />services by use of the following: <br /> <br />a) Official newspaper <br />b) Local radio station <br />c) Government access cable channel <br /> <br />The notice will state that the City of Ramsey does not <br />discriminate against handicapped individuals an providing <br />city services and will also outline any improvements made <br />which may make City programs and services more accessable <br />to handicapped persons. <br /> <br /> <br />
