School buses and residents down on the other end of the road <br />are doing the speeding. <br /> <br />Chief Auspos stated he will have the squad check it out and investigate the <br />blind spot, e Sc. <br /> <br />Street Superintendent ~vissen said he would like to take a traffic count. <br /> <br />It was decided to table this issue until the Police Department has conducted <br />a study of the area and a traffic count is taken. <br /> <br />3. On-sale liquor license application - Charles Inderieden. <br /> <br />Discussion was held regarding whether or not to change the ordinance to <br />read brick would be required on a percentage of the wall versus the entire <br />building. <br /> <br />A public hearing is scheduled for July 10, 1978 at 7:00 p.mo <br /> <br />4. Request to vacate easement - Gene Kellogg <br /> <br />Discussion held. <br /> <br />Motion by CounciLman Gamec, seconded by Councilman Reimann to take the <br />recommendation from the Building Official and City E~gineer dated <br />6/1/78 and not grant the easement vacation for Lot 3, Block 4, <br />Menkveld's Country Park at this tLme. <br /> <br />5 Ayes <br /> <br />5. New squad car bids. <br /> <br />Discussion held. <br /> <br />A question was ~aised as to why so few bids were received. <br />Chief Auspos explained that some of the dealers could not meet the specs <br />he sent out and so they did not bid. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann, seconded by Councilman Mickelson to reject <br />the bids of 6/23/78 and re-advertise for bids again and indicate to the dealers <br />that they should come as close to the specs as possible and indicate which <br />sections of the specs they don't meet. <br /> <br />5 Ayes <br /> <br />6.
