1984 MUNICIPAL STATE AID NEEDS REPORT <br /> <br /> 1984 Needs Study Update <br /> <br />The following tabulation reflects the total difference between the <br /> <br />1983 and the 1984 25-year Construction Needs Studies. This update was <br /> <br />accomplished in three individual steps to measure the effect each type <br /> <br />of revision has to the total needs. <br /> <br />1983 Construction Accomplishments and System ReviSions -- <br />includes construction accomplishments, system revisions, <br />corporate limit revisions and other miscellaneous changes. <br /> <br />2. 1983 Traffic Update -- shows the change in needs for the <br /> municipalities that had their traffic counted in 1982-1983. <br /> <br />3. 1983 Unit Cost Revisions -- measures the effect of the unit <br /> prices approved by this committee at the 1984 spring meeting. <br /> <br />Revisions were made in the following cost items: Gradin~ <br />+$0.25 C.Y.; Curb and gutter removal +$1.00 $.Y.; Concrete <br />pavement removal +$1.00 S.Y.; Tree removal +$40.00 unit; <br />Subbase Class 4 +$0.25 ton; Base Class 5 +$0.40 ton; <br />Bituminous #2331 +$3.50 ton; #2341 +$3.50 ton; #2361 +$5.50 <br />ton; Gravel Shoulders +$0.50 ton; Storm sewer construction <br />-$98,000 mile; Sidewalk construction +$0.50 S.Y.; Bridges: <br />0-149 ft. +$2.00 S.F., 150-499 ft. +$1.00 S.F,, 500 ft. and <br />over -$12.00 S.F.; Bridge Widening -$10.00 S.F. The most <br />significant revision was reducing the Storm Sewer cost <br />(-$59,628,000). % <br /> <br />The resulting 1984 25-Year Construction Needs as adjusted in the <br /> <br />following "Tentative Money Needs Apportionment Determination will be used <br /> <br />in computing the 1985 money needs allotment. <br /> <br /> These net changes can be discussed and further explained if the <br />committee so desires. <br /> <br />-22- <br /> <br /> <br />
